This is an English language toy soldier book, which covers the general history of miniatures.  The book starts with a prehistory of miniature figures, then continues with the Middle Ages through to the 1970's. It gives a detailed account of the history of flat tin figures and also the start of solid lead figures from France and Germany. Over 190 pages with plenty of pictures and drawings.
